Job Title: Swim Instructor / Lifeguard

The Town of Esterhazy is looking for qualified, energetic and motivated Lifeguards and Instructors to work at the D.A. Mackenzie Aquatic Centre for the 2019 season. Current certificates in Standard First Aid + CPR-C with AED training and National Lifeguard Award or Bronze Cross are required. Swim Instructor certification required for teaching lessons. Position reports to the Pool Manager.

Anticipated Start/End Date:                    June – August 31 2019

Hours per week:                                         30-40

Job Responsibilities:

-         Complete daily tasks including: documenting water chemistry levels, following opening and closing procedures, routine cleaning duties and equipment checks, collecting admissions and filling out daily financial logs

-         Supervise swimmers, enforce pool rules and effectively instruct swimming lessons

-         Provide a safe environment for all facility users and staff


Additional Skills:

-         Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

-         Ability to maintain effective working relationships and demonstrate strong communication

-         Strong leadership and problem solving skills

-         Ability to handle high stress situations

 TOWN OF ESTERHAZY

Historical Park, Esterhazy Museum, Esterhazy Flour Mill and Saskatchewan Potash Interpretive Center is looking for Ground Keepers and Tour Guides. 

Terms: 7 to 8 hours/day – 5 days a week.  Alternating weekends.

 

General qualifications:

·        Good communications and public relations skills

·        Ability to work on one’s own and as part of a team

·        Ability to work with people of all ages

·        Computer literate

·        Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards

·        Ability to use a lawn mower and drive a riding mower

·        Ability to use lawn & garden tools

 

General duties:

·        Giving guided tours in a cheerful and knowledgeable manner

·        Work with volunteers on activities

·        Cataloging, filing and storing of donations

·        Data entry

·        Lawn and garden maintenance

·        General housekeeping

·
